It's Hockey Time – GO LEAFS!

I am all set for the wedding tomorrow.  After going to the mall the other day and finding nothing I came home and had a cup of tea.  After dinner, I went back out again to a plaza not too far from me.  I remember looking at this store a few weeks ago and seeing long, black skirts so I went to look.  They had a few different choices and I tried every one including palazzo pants! 

The man who served me was really helpful I couldn’t decide (as usual) and he liked the long skirt with the zipper all the way down from the waiste to the floor best.  So I bought it and it was only $49.99 too!  It looks really nice on me.  I tried all of my tops with the skirt and I decided to wear the gold/sage one.  I love that top and who cares if they have seen it before!  I’m not worried about it.

I have a hair appt tomorrow morning.  I can’t wait to get my hair cut, it needs it badly.  I would like to get a manicure done and my eyes done but I can’t afford it.

A (the young guy) is picking me up as he lives near me.  We will be picking up another co-worker along the way.  I haven’t seen A (the young guy) in 3 weeks becos he has been on holidays and so have I so we will have lots of catching up to do.  I’m sure we will be talking a lot about D too as D is his boss. 

I have been checking the weather for the past week or so and it is suppose to be 77 degrees and sunny tomorrow!  No rain!  Yay!  I know my friend/co-worker (mother of the bride) has been so worried about the weather becos the wedding is at a Winery and we are outside all day by the lake.  She is going to be so happy it’s not going to rain!

I am really looking forward to seeing the bride, I know she is going to look beautiful and I can’t wait to see her in her wedding dress!  I will be taking lots of pictures.  I’m all excited about tomorrow, the wedding is going to be wonderful and we are going to have a great time!  Hope everyone has a great weekend! 

After I drove J to work this afternoon, I went shopping.  My friend/co-workers daughter is getting married on Saturday and I’m still not 100% sure about what I am going to wear to the wedding.

It is at a winery in Beamsville and we will be outside all day by the lake.  I pretty much have made up my mind that I am going to wear my nice beigey-gold top that I wore to the Stag and Doe.  It is the one I am wearing in the picture here.  See up there, top right hand corner.  I realize now I shouldn’t have worn it to the stag and doe but who is going to remember anyway.  No one cares anyway, right?

I thought that I would wear a long, black skirt to the wedding.  Black really goes with it becos of the tiny little black embroidery around the collar.  I can’t wear a short skirt becos I have ugly feet.  I had my feet operated on years ago and my feet are messed up now.  I have plain, black, flat sandels that I always wear to work, nothing fancy.  So I thought to hide my ugly feet I could get a long, black skirt.

I went to the mall today and really found nothing.  I was so tired from shopping and I came back home, had a cup ot tea and dinner and went back out again to another plaza near by.  I saw some long skirts in this store a few weeks ago so I new they had some.  I tried on a few, found one that I like and bought it.  It is plain but it has a zipper down the side which makes it really nice.  And it was only $49.99, not too bad!  The salesman said that ladies wear long, black skirts all the time to weddings and the thing is I can wear it again.

Do you think wearing a long, black skirt would be OK?   My friends sister told me not to get a long, black skirt becos it would make me look cut off.  She said I should try to get the same colour.  It would look better.  I don’t know.  Do you think it would look too formal? 

My friend/co-worker got me a really nice pink and white top for my birthday do you think I could wear it with the long, black skirt instead of my goldey-beige top?  My friend says I can, she also thinks I can wear pants but I don’t think that would be dressy enough.  I have no fashion sense at all and I hate going to things like this becos I always worry if I am wearing the right thing.  I’m confused!  I would appreciate some advice please!  What would you wear?

I thought I would be posting a lot becos I’m on holidays now but honestly I haven’t really felt much like being on the computer at all.  Last week I was hooked on the Olympics and really enjoyed watching them.  I only wish Canada did better.  Oh well, at least we rock at the winter Olympics and the closing ceramonies were amazing!

OK, let me back track…   A week ago Saturday J and I went to the mall to buy my birthday present.  A new cell phone!  J and I went in on it together!  It is from Telus the LG285 and it is the same as J’s only mine is in black.  I love it!  We both got the Pay per talk becos we didn’t want to sign any contracts.  I have had so much fun playing with it ever since!  I have been learning how to text message, I’m not very good at it so J has been teaching me.  I also have the Internet on it which is pretty cool!  I really love it, cell phones are amazing!

Last Tuesday, I met 3 other co-workers for lunch (at this new sandwich place near our work) and I got my ears pierced!  I got pierced earrings from one of my co-workers,who obviously doesn’t know me very well.  I have been thinking of getting my ears pierced and since I got these I thought I better get them done. 

My left ear is a little soar but I think it is ok.  I have these little diamond earrings in for 6 weeks and then I can wear whatever I want.  I’m looking forward to buying new earrings.

Wednesday, J and I took the train into Toronto to see the Toronto Blue Jay game.  I got tickets from V which were really good seats.  We lost against New York Yankees 5 – 1 but we had a lot of fun anyway.  I really enjoyed it!  I can see why J has been to 8 games so far this summer with his friends!  I took some good pictures and I will post them later probably on Facebook.   

Thursday, I met another friend/co-worker for dinner (at the same sandwhich place becos it was near the theatre) and we saw Mama Mia!  I loved it and really enjoyed it!  My friend treated me to the movie as becos it was my birthday present!  We had alot of fun and I would love to see it again!

Friday night, was another bridel shower at my friend/co-worker’s sisters house.  Since the couple have been living together for awhile and has everything they need the theme was a CD theme!  What a great idea!  You were to buy what you like.  So obviously, I bought the Queen’s Greatest Hits CD.  Thankfully she didn’t have it.  We sat outside all night by her gorgeous pool and played games.  It was a lovely evening!  One game I won a prize for which was a beautiful Rasberry candle.  It is favorite scent so I was quite pleased to win it!

Since I was driving I only had two glasses of wine.  She had delicious food and I know I over ate of course.  It really was a lot of fun!

Saturday, I woke up with a migraine like headache and felt really crappy all day.  I think it was from the weather and not the wine.  I did manage to go to the mall with J but not for very long.  We treated ourselve to our usual Mr. Subs for lunch and I felt a bit better after I ate. 

Later on in the afternoon I drove J to work and I had a nice quiet evening.  I hadn’t had time to watch my 3 of my shows (General Hospital) during the week so I had 3 hours of shows to watch.  I still had my headache so that’s all i wanted to do anyway.

I woke up feeling much better on Sunday and I cleaned my house becos my mother and SIL were coming for a BBQ.  Unfortunately, my nephew didn’t come at he was at his dad’s for a few days.  We BBQ’d Filet Mignon and they were delicious!  We had baked potatoe and caeser salade and yes I had more wine!  LOL!  I do love my wine!  After they left, J and I tuned in to watch the closing of the summer Olympics.

Today we had to go to the school to register J for this year, so he is all set.  Then we went to the Dr.’s to get J’s results from his blood tests that were taken last week.  His blood results are good except his platelet count is still low.  The Dr. isn’t sure why, he thinks J has always been like this.  We are to get his blood tested again the beginning of October and I have a feeling we will have to do this once a month for awhile. 

J has been experiencing feeling very warm a few times.  I would feel his forehead and it feels like he is burning up and he feels clammy.  J says he feels fine just that he feels warm.  I take his temperature and he doesn’t have a fever.  I am to keep my eye on him.  The Dr. said that he wantes J to get his Thyroid tested so he checked that off on the requistion.  He said sometimes Hyperthyroid can make you feel warm.  I wouldn’t be surprised if J had a thyroid problem becos I do and I take medication for it.  My mother is border line.  I am really glad he is checking up on J!

While I was there, I mentioned to my Dr. that I was worried about my rosacea on my face.  I told him it is getting worse and the cream he gave me last time wasn’t working.  I want to see a Dermatologist.  I haven’t seen one in years and that is what my Dr. suggested.  I told him last time I went to my dermatologist he put me on antibiotics.  My Dr. said the name of it so he gave me a prescription for it.  Was I ever happy about that!  So hopefully the antibiotics will clear up my face soon.  I will feel much better!

That brings me up to date.  This week isn’t going to be as busy as last week.  I’m going to be cleaning house and getting ready for the wedding which is this Saturday!  I don’t even really know what I am going to wear!  J is working on Wednesday so I am going to go and look then.  I’m not too worried about it though. 

I must say I’ve been enjoying sleeping in every day!  Wouldn’t it be nice to win the lottery so I wouldn’t have to go back to work!  LOL!  I know, I’m dreaming!  D is on his sailing trip right now in Vancouver for 2 weeks.  I miss him and can’t wait to see him again.  It wll be interesting to see what he is like when we get back to work. 

Well, it’s late and I’m going to bed.  How is everybody doing? 

I’m sorry I haven’t posted about my birthday but the last few days have been very busy and I’ve been so tired.  My 50th birthday was really nice!  Let me back track.

The night before my birthday I spent the evening in the kitchen baking (with my mother’s help) until 10:00 pm.  I was so tired!  We made 2 lemon meringue pies, one pecan pie, blue berry muffins (a package of 24) and carrot muffins ( a package of 24).  Mom had made a batch of sweet marie chocolate squares in the morning.  We started baking as soon as I got home, shortly after 6:00 pm.

As you can see, I had quite the load to take into work so I called my friend just before I left and asked her and another friend to meet me downstairs.  We went right into the kitchen to set everything up and then went to my desk.  

When I got to my desk, I couldn’t believe it!  My desk was covered in 50 decorations and presents!  One of my friends (who actually helped me carry my treats up) put up about 50 men between the ages of 50 – 60 from Lava Life!  She printed them off and taped them all over my monitors and my walls!  I couldn’t believe it!  I had so much fun reading them all day!  

Our regular receptionist was away on holidays and we had a temp covering for her.  When I came in she made a really nice announcement for me.  It was something like this ”We have a milestone birthday today.  It’s Pam’s 50th birthday and there are treats in the kitchen.”  I thought that was really nice.

I had a BIG 50 sign and a big 50 balloon and streamers all over!  It was amazing!  Oh, and there was a huge box beside my desk with a big bow on it.  It was a big Dell computer box they borrowed from the IT Dept.  I opened it and there was a picture of Raggedy Andy with a note that said “It has appeared he has escaped.”  Meaning D of course!  And Raggedy Andy is D becos of his red hair. LOL!  It was too funny!  I pinned my Raggedy Andy picture on my wall.  D will see it but he won’t know what it is about.  LOL!

They asked me to open my presents right away.  I was a little overwhelmed as everyone stood and watched me open my gifts.  Not D though, he stayed at his desk.  I got a beautiful pink top from my friend (who’s daughter is getting married the end of the month) and a beautiful pink necklace to match!  I got a lovely plant with a cute balloon in it from my friend who sits right beside me.  I got a bottle of white wine from my a few other co-workers.  They know how much I love my wine!  I got a really nice pair of pierced earrings.  The thing is though, I don’t have pierced ears!  LOL! 

My co-workers have been bugging me to get my ears pierced and I have been thinking about getting them done so that just made up my mind!  LOL!  So a couple of us are going Tuesday to get my ears pierced!  We are going out for lunch and then we will get my ears pierced.

I also got a nice jewelry box to put on my dresser from Home Sense and I got a $25.00 gift certificate from La Senza!  As you can see, I have wonderful co-workers!  Can you tell they love me?

I guess you are all probably wondering about D.  Apparently, V and D came by when they were decorating my desk to see what was going on.  I’m sure D didn’t know when my birthday was.  My co-worker who sits beside me said they were looking at all the men pictures and V said to D… “D, you are a bachelor, your picture should be up here!”  I couldn’t believe it V said that!  I don’t know what D’s reaction was exactly, I don’t think he said anything at all.  I’m sure he probably didn’t like it.  I still can’t believe V said that!

My treats went over very well!  As you know, I made carrot muffins especially for D.  He came into the kitchen when I was making my tea in the morning and we had a nice chat.  He said “So are you breaking out the champagne?”  I said “Oh, I’m not taking turning 50 to well.”  We talked a bit about that and my treats and I said “What did you have?”  He said “I had pecan pie and a square.  They were really good!”  Was I ever happy he said that!  But he didn’t even have a carrot muffin that I made especially for him!  He might of later but I don’t think so.  Oh well, at least he liked what he had.

I said to him “A bunch of us are going downstairs for lunch, if you would like to come, you are welcome.”  And I named a couple of guys that were coming so he wouldn’t be the only guy.  But he said “Not today.” and left.  Of course I was really disappointed.  WTF!  He should of come just to be nice to me becos it was my birthday.  Don’t you think?  That’s three times now, I have mentioned lunch.  I’m going to get so mad at him next time I ask him and he makes up some excuse like he is busy.  I’m going to have a long talk with him one day and find out what his problem is.

D did come by with V after they got there treats.  This was before I got my tea this morning and before I opened my presents, I believe.  V came up to me and shook my hand and said “Happy Birthday.”  D said “Happy birthday” very quietly.  He seemed to be very shy.  V said “D, you have to shake her hand!”  LOL!  Of course he didn’t and I didn’t expect him to.  They didn’t stay too long.

We had a nice lunch downstairs!  I had grilled chicken and a green salade with vegetables.  It was very good!  One of my friends sent an email around inviting people for lunch.  Of course D’s name was on it and V’s name and a couple of other guys.  She sent the email around specifically for D to see if he would come that way but he didn’t. 

All day long people came up to me and wished me a Happy Birthday and would stay and chat for awhile.  I didn’t get much work done at all that day.  How could I concentrate with all those men around my desk!  I was very distracted!  LOL!  I told my manager that and she said “That’s OK, you are allowed one day.”  LOL!

After work, J and I met my mother and Aunt at the new Keg restaurant for dinner that just opened up near us!  My SIL and nephew David were there also.  I didn’t know they were coming so it was a nice surprise!  I had filet mignon and baked potaoe.  Mom and I shared a caeser salad and of course we had wine.  The steak was cooked perfectly and it was so delicious!  The service was good too!

When we got out of the restaurant it was pouring rain, thundering and lightening!  What a storm we had!  We went to my mother’s house for tea and cake and to open presents.  From my mother I got a nice rain coat.  I didn’t have one so it was nice to get one.  I also got $100.00 cheque from her which I really needed!  From my aunt I got my favotire Bubble Bath called Evidence.  From my SIL I got a really nice box set from the Body Shop of fruity creams, bubble bath and candles.  I love Body Shop stuff!   

It was late when we got home about 10:00 pm.  I was so tired from all the excitement!  As you can see, I had a wonderful day thanks to my wonderful co-workers!  I sent a special email around to thank them.  They really went all out.  And D was there and he wished me a Happy Birthday and we had a nice conversation in the morning.  It really was a great birthday!  It took me a couple of days to come down from the clouds!

So my birthday is on Thursday.  It is my 50th!  I really can’t believe I will be 50 years old this year.  As I mentioned before I am having a real hard time with it.  I am not handling it too well at all.  Infact, I have been fretting about it all year.  Yes, it’s that bad.  You can say I am having the postpartum 50th birthday blues!  LOL!

I know I don’t look 50 and I certainly don’t act 50 years old.  I think that is a good thing and that’s probably part of the problem.  I look at it this way…  My 20’s I was married (I was married at 23) so that sucked.  The 30’s I got divorced so that was good.  I really enjoyed my 40’s and my 50’s well, I don’t know what to expect!

They say it is only a number.  It is a big, ugly, scary number to me!  They say if you are in your 40’s you are called a Cougar.  Now I will be in my 50’s and I will be called an Old Maid!  LOL!  That’s not funny!  I hope I will calm down and not frett about it so much.  Hopefully my 50’s will be good to me as my 40’s were.

In our office the rule is the birthday person has to bring in the treats.  Enough for 50/60 people!  Tomorrow night I will be busy baking pies.  My speciality and my favorite is pecan pie!  I will also be making a couple of lemon meringue pies and sweet marie chocolate squares. 

I asked V to find out what D’s favorite thing is.  V asked him and D said he really likes carrot muffins.  So I will be baking carrot muffins for D!  LOL!  I will be also baking blue berry muffins for V becos that is his favorite.  He said “I will ask him what he likes but you have to make me my favorite muffins!”  Fare enough!  LOL!  The package makes 24 each so that is alot of muffins!  I think that should be enough but I may pick up a chocolate cake in the morning on the way to work.

Mom is coming over to help me (bless her heart) tomorrow after work.  It should take too long and it should be fun!  I think the office is going to be spoiled on Thursday!  LOL!

Today was one of our co-workers birthday and we went out for lunch for her birthday.  She wanted to go for Thai food.  I had chicken and shrimp stir fry and it was delicious!  I really enjoyed it!

Right beside this Thai restaurant is Weight Watchers so my friend and I went in to get weighed before lunch.  Last week I gained 1.4 and I was so upset about the gain that I was determined to lose this week.  I lost point 6 which brings me down to 137.8 llb.  I was relieved and I felt so much better!  It’s not much of a loss but at least I didn’t gain!  I hope I lose next week as well but with my birthday coming up I’m not so sure how I will do.

I didn’t see D at all yesterday.  He was here but I didn’t see him.  I heard the president talking to him at his desk at the end of the day today and I figured they were going out for dinner or drinks after work.  Sometimes they do this.  I went down to the washroom and when I cme back there was D in the hall waiting for the pres.  I said “Going home?”  He said he was waiting for the pres and I said ‘Oh going for drinks?”  He said “Yes.”  Then he said “What about you?”  I said “Oh soon I’ll be going.”  He said “Staying late?”  I said “I usually stay about this time becos I come in late.”  Then he said the strangest thing I thought “Oh, maybe I should work the late shift.”  and I said “Yeah, then we will be alone.”  and he said “Yeah.”  I realized right away that didn’t sound too good so I said “I love it!  I get the whole system to myself and nobody bugs me.”  I said ”They are pretty flexible.”  Good cover up!  LOL! 

He sure has been very friendly lately and it sure will be interesting to see what he does on Thursday!  I hope he comes around to my desk and says Happy Birthday to me instead of just passing by me in the hall.  My co-worker told me that when he comes up to me at my desk to wish me a happy birthday that is when I should say “When’s lunch?” but I don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable with everyone around.  If I see him in the kitchen and we are alone I can say “So when are you going to take me out for my birthday lunch?”  We will just have to see how it goes.

I was at the photocopier earlier this afternoon and my boss and my manager were there also.  I saw D walk by and I noticed he went out of his way to look at me and there was a big smile on his face!  He was so cute!  I didn’t look at him though, I saw him out of the corner of my eye.  I didn’t want to make it too obvious becos the managers were there.

Well, it’s late and I am off to bed.  Only one more sleep!  Ugh!!!

I woke up with a headache yesterday morning and it got worse as the day went on.  It became a nasty migraine so I slept most of the day on and off on the couch.  I had the Olympics on but I couldn’t really watch them.  I managed to drive J to work and pick up a pizza slice for dinner.  I came back home I made myself a cup of tea and had another nap on the couch with the Olympics on.   When I woke up I had dinner but I wasn’t really hungry.  I finally felt half human about 8:00 pm. 

We had thunder storms on and off yesterday so the weather was the cause of my migraine.  I just rested most of the evening.  I still had a bit of a headache today and I felt so drained from my migraine.  I didn’t do too much today at all.  All I did was two loads of laundry and tidied up the house.   I did a bit of ironing too.   I had a nice shower this afternoon and I felt much better after that.

We went to my mothers for dinner and she cooked a delicious chicken caserole.  She showed us her new bathroom which is really nice!  It is a lot more modern looking now.  She put in a new floor and a new cabinet with a new mirror and light fixtures.  The new bathroom tile makes it look so much bigger.   

Well, it’s back to work tomorrow already.  I’m looking forward to my holidays coming up only one more week!  I hope everyone had a good weekend! 

Today was very quiet.  We weren’t too busy again today.  I hope we are busy next week.  I’d rather be busy than not. 

This afternoon one of my co-worker called me on the phone.  She was very quiet almost whispering and she was talking about my birthday coming up.  I told her I wasn’t handling it too well becos I am turning 50.  She said ”It will be good!”  I said “Why becos you are going to wrap up D for me?”  She said “He is sitting right here at A’s desk.”  Then she asked me for some Advil becos she had a really bad headache and she wanted me to come over and give her a couple. 

I said “D is right there and you want me to come over?  No, you come over here and get them?”  She asked me pitifully so I said I would go over.  There was D working away.  I went over there and she said “Oh, I like your top!  Oh and I really like your jeans!”  D hadn’t seen my jeans before as he was away last week and the week before.  I couldn’t believe she said that!  She took the Advil and I left, all smiles!  LOL!  We aren’t sure if D looked up when I walked away.  Was that a set up or what?  LOL!!!  She really did have a headache, by the way.  Gotta love co-workers!!!  I had a good laugh about that one!

I had to cover reception later in the afternoon about 3:30 pm.  And who came by about a half an hour later was D!  We had a nice, long conversation!  We haven’t talked like that in awhile so it was great talking to him.  He commented about how quiet it was in the office and I said “Ya, a lot of people are on holidays.”  Since we were on the topic of holidays I said to him “And you were away last week.  Where did you go?”  He said “I was in Mississippi.”  I said “What’s in Mississippi?”  He said “My niece got a job there and I was helping her move.  My brother-in-law and I rented a truck and drove down there.”  Of course I asked him where she got the job and so we talked about that for awhile. 

Then my friend/co-worker came by and starting talking about her daughter’s wedding.  D said “When is the wedding?”  He has already asked her twice when the wedding is so why would he ask again?  She left and I had the perfect opportunity to ask him to go with me.  But somebody came by so I couldn’t ask him.  Instead I asked him if he was going sailing this weekend and he said “No, I’m going to sit on the couch all weekend and watch TV.”  I said “I’m about doing the same.”  I said “J is working tomorrow night and he is at the Blue Jays game tonight with friends.”  I told him that V gave us tickets to the Blue Jays and he said “Ya, V gave me some too.”  I told him that we were going to go on my holidays.  D said he was going to take his brother in law. 

D left and I was waiting for him to come by and say Goodnight later.  I thought for sure he would leave early but he didn’t.  I was going back to my desk and met him in the hall.  He was leaving about 5 minutes early and I figured it was becos he wanted to catch me up front before I left so he could say Goodbye to me!  He wouldn’t of come over to me at my desk.  He was with another co-worker and he said “I’m leaving 5 mintues early.”  So I said to our other co-worker “Should I let him leave?  I don’t think I should!”  LOL!  I walked with them to the front and I said I’d lock the door behind him.  D left and he said “See ya!”  I said “See you.  Have a good weekend!”  I was all smiles!

I know he isn’t doing anything this weekend.  I’m sure he is sitting at home watching the Olympics Opening Ceramonies like I was earlier this evening.  It would of been the perfect time to go out for a drink.  I just don’t why he doesn’t ask me even as a friend.

It was a really nice long conversation!  I’m surprised he stayed that long to talk to me.  I can’t believe I found out why he went to Mississippi!  Imagine me thinking he was doing the on line dating thing!  LOL!  Silly me!  I knew it had to be an old friend or family.  I get myself all worked for nothing.  I’m surprised he told me too.  I didn’t think he would and he even gave me more information than I asked for!  He sure was very friendly!  I don’t know why we don’t talk like this more often!  He sure made my day and my weekend!

We aren’t doing too much this weekend.  J is working tomorrow night.  I will probably watch the Olympics.  As I mentioned, J is at the Toronto Blue Jay game with his friends and should be home shortly.  We are going to my mothers for dinner on Sunday.  She recently had one of her bathrooms done and she wants to show it to us.  I am actually thinking of doing my housework tomorrow and maybe going early to my mothers on Sunday and go for a nice swim.  I haven’t been swimming once this summer and I really enjoy swimming.  She has a beautiful pool in her condo that I should take advantage of more often, especially becos of my arthritis!  I hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoy watching the Olympics! 

It has been a pretty quiet week so far.   We haven’t been terribly busy at work so we have been able to get all caught up on everything.  The office is quiet as a lot of people are on holidays.

D has been quiet.  I haven’t talked to him since he got back form Mississippi but he has been in a really good mood.  He did seem a little stressed today though.  My friend/co-worker and I went out for lunch today.  I was going to her desk and just as I was turning the corner around her partician D walked by and we practically banged right into each other!  We both jumped and said “OH!”  It was funny!  D put his arm out as if to let me go by and I said “Sorry!”  Of course I was all smiles!  He went to the photocopier room to get a print out so he came right back with it.   I could tell he was listening to our conversation as he walked by. 

At the end of the day, I went into the area where another friend/co-worker can see D’s office.  I asked her if D was there and she said he wasn’t.  So I figured he had left for the day.  A little while later I went into the area again (very quietly) with some invoices and much to my surprise he was there!  He must of been in a meeting.  I turned around very quickly so he wouldn’t see me and my invoices hit the chair and made a noise.  I tried to run out of there fast so he wouldn’t see me.  I don’t think he saw me but I’m sure he knew it was me.  I guess I wouldn’t make a very good private eye!  LOL!  I could of sworn he had left for the day.  He was still there when I left the office too!  I was on my way to A (the young guy’s office) to say Goodnight to him but I heard D in there talking so I just left.  I didn’t want to interrupt them.

I know better be careful becos one of these days, D is going to catch me and I’m going to get busted and in trouble!

I have been feeling a little down this week becos my 50th birthday is coming up (the 14th to be exact) and I am not handling it too well.  I don’t know why but it’s really bothering me.  I know I don’t look my age and I don’t act my age maybe that is part of the problem.  And they say it’s only a number but I know I definately don’t like this number!

My rosacea has broken out on my face.  I haven’t had a problem in years but I have had a small red patch on my left cheek since last April.  It broke out about the time J was in the hospital probably becos of stress.  It wasn’t too bad this past week but it has broken out on my other cheek.  I found some old cream that I used before so I have been putting that on at night and it has helped a bit.  I need to see my Dr. and be put on antibiotics but my Dr is on holidays and won’t be back until August 18th.  I am hoping I can get an appt that week. 

The girls at work have noticed how red it is and my friend/co-worker even bought me some cream to put on it which I will try tonight.  I am hoping it will help but I am sure I need something stronger like antibiotics.

My friend/co-worker and I went to WW yesterday.  I was pretty sure I lost weight.  Not a lot of weight but maybe point 6 lbs or seomthing like that.  I was already in a grumpy mood and then when I stepped on the scale and the lady told me I had gained 1.4 lbs well, that just made everything worse!  I just couldn’t beleive t!  I am now only point 6 away from having to pay!

I don’t understand it becos I hardly ate anything all last weekend and this week.  I ate my points but I never ate anything extra.  I never went overboard!  I need another week like I just had and hopefully next week when I weigh in it will show a loss and not a gain.  I am really frustrated right now!

Well, it’s late and I’m off to bed.  One more day and it’s the weekend!  I hope everyone is having a good week! 

This long weekend has been nice and relaxing!  I got a lot of things done that I wanted to but I could of done more.  I had every intention of dusting my room today but I got side tracked. 

There has been my Ex’s pictures of J when he was a baby sitting on my dresser for awhile now.  The Ex’s wife must of given them to J to give to me without him knowing.  The Ex mentioned to me that he wanted them back and that he gave her heck for giving them to J.

I decided to go through them today to make sure that I have the same ones.  I started looking through pictures and pictures (I have tons and tons of pictures) and so far I haven’t been able to find the ones he has.  It took me most of the afternoon.  So he isn’t getting them back until I find the same ones.  Since it has been so long he has forgotten about the pictures anyway.  I will look again tomorrow night.  Don’t worry I will give them back to him.  I’m not a mean Ex at all.  We get along very well.  I just want to make sure I have the same pictures is all.

I did manage to tidy up the house, did two loads of laundry and I did half of the ironing.  I cleaned J’s bathroom the other day.  Yesterday I had my mother and my Aunt over for a BBQ.  We BBQ’d hambegers and had corn on the cob and a nice salad.  I love corn on the cob!  It was the first time I had it this summer!  It was a very nice evening so we had tea outside after dinner on my patio after dinner.  We had a nice visit!

J went to a Toronto Blue Jays game today with his friend and his parents.  He was really excited about going becos they played the team he wanted to see against Oakland.  He was happy the Jays won 6 – 1!  After the game there were fireworks for the Civic holiday which he enjoyed. 

It’s back to work tomorrow.  I’m glad it is a short week.  I’m actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow to see D of course!  I haven’t seen him since last Tuesday so I really miss him.  I hope I get a chance to talk to him.  I hope everyone had a good weekend! 

Did you miss me?  I sure missed posting!  My host was having issues.  Sue-Ellen has been working on my blog.  She emailed my host and even called them and got no where.  They didn’t even respond to her emails.  So she switched me over to her host and now I am back up and running with a new look which I really like!  Thank you so much Sue-Ellen, I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! 

I guess I have a few things to catch up on.  Let see, last weekend the Canadian Open was in town and the golf course is right near our house.  J’s father works for the company that sponsered the open this year and he got two VIP passes!  He took J on Sunday and they spent the afternoon in the clubhouse eating and drinking free food all afternoon.  J got an ear piece so he could listen to the commentators to hear what was going on.  He got a free program and they both were given a framed picture of the 11th hole!  It is beautiful!  We are going to hang it up in the living room.  He also spent some time outside.  I let him borrow my digital camera and I must say I don’t let him borrow it very often but this was a special event.  He took some great shots of the golfers and I can’t wait to get the pictures developed!  I was hoping he would meet some golfers but unfortunately he didn’t.

J’s grandmother was also at the Canadian Open that day and she didn’t know J was there.  When J came home my mother was already here becos we were having a BBQ, she couldn’t believe he had VIP passes!  Oh, and they also had valet parking!  J said he felt like they were famous!  LOL!  I thought it was so nice of J’s father to take him.  J was so excited about it and had a wonderful time with his Dad!  The Canadian Open is back here next year so I hope J gets to go again!

Work has been going ok.  It has been pretty quiet, not terribly busy.  We got out early today becos it is our Civic Holiday weekend.  Monday is a holiday and it means 3 glorious days of sleeping in!

Not too much has been going on with D.  He has been really busy with off site meetings.  He took a few days off.  He left Wednesday and will be back in the office on Tuesday.  I had to cover reception late afternoon on Tuesday and I was so happy I had to becos I figured D would come by on his way out and say Goodnight.  I knew he was taking a few days off and I hadn’t seen much of him lately at all so I really wanted to see him.

I was right!  Just after 5:00 pm he came by.  I saw him and he was going to go out the front door but he came right around and right up to me and said “See you on Tuesday.”  I said “Oh, are you going sailing?”  He said “No.”  Now he had opened the door and V came by and interrupted us.  D went into the hall and I was watching both of them.  D looked over to me and gave me a cute little nod!  As if to say Goodnight.  Needless to say I was on cloud 9 and have been ever since!  I can’t wait to see him on Tuesday!  I was so surprised he told me he was going away!  It’s not like him at all.  He could of gone right through the front door but he came right around to tell me “See you on Tuesday.”  He wouldn’t of said that to anyone else!

However, he wouldn’t of come up to me at my desk to tell me.  I don’t think he will come over probably becos he is too shy and becos of all the girls there in my goup.  I was just lucky I had to cover reception!

A (the young guy) told me today that D went to Mississipi.  I guess he has a friend there.  I never heard him mention Mississipi before so obviously it has me very curious!  Maybe if I see him on Tuesday I will ask him how his trip was.

I have been going crazy worring if D will be here for my birthday.  Last year he was on holidays so he missed it and I was really upset about it but V asked him for me when he was taking his holidays and Yes!  He will be here for my 50th birthday!  I am thrilled about that!  But, he is taking the last week of August off and the first week of Septmember off to go on his big sailing trip that he goes on every year with his friend.  I am taking the last two weeks of August off so that means I won’t see him for three weeks!  Oh well, I guess it will seem more like only one week becos I wll only be in the office for one week when he isn’t there.  if you know what I mean.  I’m going to miss him like crazy but at least he will be here for my 50th birthday! 

I’m going to say something to him like “So, when are you going to take me out for my birthday lunch?”  He will probably say “I’m not.”  What do you guys think I should say?  I want to say something to him so that he can’t say No!  Does anybody have any suggestions?

It’s going to be a very quiet weekend here. I have to get caught up on a lot of house cleaning.  J works tomorrow so I will have a quiet evening.  Maybe I should rent a movie.  We may go to the mall Sunday afternoon and we are having a BBQ on Sunday.  Both my mother and my aunt are coming.  I haven’t seen much of my aunt this summer at all.  So it will be nice seeing her.
