Painting weekend

November 15th, 2009

I just spent all weekend painting.  My SIL and my mother helped me all weekend.  Even the boys helped, J and my nephew my SIL’s son and they did a great job!

We painted the dining/living room and hallway.  3 years ago we painted the dining/living room a peachy colour and I didn’t like the colour at all so we stopped at the hallway.  I had the itch recently to paint again becos I just couldn’t stand the colour anymore.  It took me forever to pick the colour this time becos I didn’t want to screw up again.  LOL!  I just wanted to do a beige colour and I ended up chosing a taupe/beige colour.  It is a nice nuetral colour and it is beautiful!  I absolutely love the colour!  It looks great against the white trim and my washed oak wall unit and my washed oak kitchen cabinets.  I keep admiring the colour and all our hard work of course!

I am so soar and tired from all the painting.  My back is killing me and so are my muscles.  I don’t know how I’m going to manage getting out of bed tomorrow morning.  I was going to take tomorrow but I’m going to take Friday off instead.

I have a carpet cleaning service guy coming tomorrow morning at 8:30 for an estimate.  I’m getting my whole downstairs carpet cleaned.  The carpet is badly stained from when the cat we were looking after puked all over the hall way.  I just hope it can all come out.  I will be really upset if it doesn’t.  The owner of the cat is paying for it which is nice of him.

J is at his friends house.  J and his friend are watching a wrestling pay per view show.  My mother dropped him off after dinner.  He will be home shortly.  My mother brought her grill over and we grilled hambegers.  My barbeque died just before summer ended so I will have to buy a new one in the spring.

Tomorrow night Mom and I are going out to dinner with old friends of ours.  They are my mother’s financial advisor’s and there friend opened up a new restaurant in town.  It is a father and son team and they invited my mother and a friend of her’s as well.  These are very old friends of ours.  We were neighbors growing up.  I lvoe these guys so I am really looking forward to seeing them tomorrow night!

I’m off to bed.  I don’t know how I am going to get up in the morning.  Wish me luck!  I’ll probably be soar for a couple of days.  Hope everyone had a good weekend!  :)

Interesting week

November 11th, 2009

It has been an interesting week so far.  Work is going well.  We didn’t get any mail in today being Remberance day so it was a catch up day.  It just means that we will be twice as busy tomorrow.

D has been so friendly lately, I just don’t know what to make of it.  He stopped by on his way out yesterday and asked me if the Leafs were playing.  We talked about the game and other things for a few minutes.  V came by and wanted me to help him with the photocopier but I didn’t move.  After all, D was talking to me!  V left and he came back a couple of minutes later.  Someone else walked by and talked to D but D still didn’t move.   It was great!  D left and then I helped V with the photocopier.  Of course I was beaming all night long!

I had to cover lunch reception today and D came by again!  He asked me if I saw the game last night and then we talked about it for a few minutes.  But the darn phone rang so he left.  When he was walking away I said (as the phone was ringing) ”We will talk later.”  He turned his head and nodded yes.

One of the girls came in while we were talking and she told me later that she said to her co-worker…  Oh, it’s so cute D is talking to Pam up at the front!   Maybe he will ask her to the Christmas dance!  Everyone is wondering why the heck he is being so friendly lately.  I have no idea but I love it!  And he signed on Facebook tonight and was on line for anout 45 mintes!  He hasn’t be on in weeks!  I couldn’t believe it!  I was shocked!  I want to so badly get up enough nerve to chat with him on FB but I just couldn’t do it.  I was shaking too much!  LOL  Tomorrow I might say to him, I saw you on line last night.  I was going to say Hi to you but I didn’t want to bother you.

So why is D being so friendly?  Our company is trying to open a business over seas and if it is approved D will be going over there for about 3 months.  This is going to kill me when he is gone.  I will miss him so much!  It is almost %95 sure it will happen.  So I am thinking he is being friendly becos he feels he is safe.  That nothing is going to happen becos he is going away.  Or did he finally wake up?  Or did someone talk to him?  Or does he have a girlfriend now and that is why he feels he can talk to me becos he knows nothing is going to happen either.  I am so confused!  It is driving me absolutely crazy!  Especially when co-workers ar noticing and talking about us.  Don’t you find that odd that he came over to me last night on his way out and this afternoon at lunch reception and then he signed on Facebook tonight?  What the heck is going on with him!

Well, it’s late and I’m off to bed.  I will write more later.  I’m tired.  Hope everyone is having a good week!

Halloween fun

November 1st, 2009

We had a fun Halloween!  My costume this year at work was a big hit!  At first I had no clue what I was going to be but then it dawned on me the Sunday night before!  I was on the Toronto Maple Leafs website and I saw a photo of an Upset fan in the crowd and that is what I knew I was going to be.  I clicked on a link and that took me to a store where they had the mask.  It was near my office so I went during my lunch to go and pick it up.  I also got a flag to go with it!  Since I was a TML fan last year I thought it was only appropriate I’d be an Upset fan this year!  LOL

I decided I wouldn’t wear it to work becos I didn’t want to be seen right away.  I changed later on in the morning.  Everyone thought it was great and got a big kick out of it!  One of the girls took me to the presidents office to show me off!  He is a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan and he loved it!  He especially said he liked my TML pants.  They were actually J’s old TML pj’s pants that I snuck out of his drawer!  If he knew I took them he wouldn’t be too happy!  LOL!

There weren’t too many people dressed up this year.  It was an open theme or you could wear black or orange.   After lunch we played a couple of games.  There were prizes for the games but not the best costume this year.  Everyone said I would of won if there was.  And D loved it!  I got a big smile from him and he said it was really good!

After work I went to a friend/co-worker’s house for dinner.  I have never been to her place before.  She had a couple of her neighbor friends in who I had never met before.  She is from Turkey and she had a few Turkish dishes.  It was really good!  There was so much food!

On Thursday, V took another myself and another co-worker out for lunch for Indian food!  It was really good!  No, D wasn’t with us but he should of been.  V didn’t even ask him.  I’m sure D would of said “No” anyway.  V said they go to this restaurant all the time together becos D really likes it so why wouldn’t he go?  Maybe becos he is being so friendly now, he would go?  Oh well, hopefully next time!

The tricker treaters had a good weather this year.  We didn’t have too many, we only had about 35 – 40 kids.  J and I took turns answering the door while we were watching the Leafs vs Montreal game.  It was so exciting!  We were down and game back to tie the game!  We went into OT but we lost in a shoot out 5 – 4.  I hate shoot outs!  They are always so nerve racking, I can’t stand it!

We had fun seeing all the cute kids in there costumes.  We have tons of candy left over and I admit I have been eating way too much!  J is happy becos it is all the kind that he likes!  LOL!

This afternoon we took down the pumpkin lights and put the Christmas lights up!  I figured since I had the ladder out I would put them up.  It was a nice day to that anyway.

We went to Mom’s for dinner tonight.  She had roast beef, with roasted potatoes, squash and beats.  It was delicious!  She gave us left overs to take home for dinner tomorrow night.  I love left overs!

It’s late and I am off to bed.  I really don’t want to go to work tomorrow.  Work sure has been stressful since the new way of entering invoices have started.  There are so many bugs to fix.  We need to have patience and I don’t have any patience at all.  I’m looking forward to seeing D tomorrow becos I’m sure he will stop by and talk about the game!  I hope everyone had a good Halloween!

False hope

October 27th, 2009

It’s been awhile since I last posted.  Let’s see what has been going on…  Last week at work was a slow week so we were able to get caught up on everything.  It is such a great feeling since we were behind for so long.  The past couple of days have been really busy so now we are behind again.  We were short a girl today so that doesn’t help.  Hopefully next week we can get caught up again.

I can’t get over how friendly D is being lately!  He comes over almost every day to talk to me now!  This has been going on for a few weeks now!  Last Friday night on his way out he stopped by and said to me “Are you going to watch the game tomorrow night?”  I was going out with a few of the girls form work to Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls.  I didn’t want to tell him I wasn’t going to watch the game becos then he knew I would be out and he would probably wonder if I had a date.  He probably thinks I sit home alone every night all by myself.  So I said to him “No, I’m not.”  He said  “Why aren’t you watching the game?”  I couldn’t believe he asked me again!  I didn’t know what to say so I hesitated and said “I’m going out.” and he just looked at me and said “Oh…” very quietly.  I didn’t tell him I was going to the casino with the girls.  I have him wondering now, I think.

Last Thursday night he was working late and I stopped by on my way out to talk to him.  I managed to get up enough nerve to go into his office and we had a good talk!  we talked about work and the economy and he mentioned his sister and brother-in-law.  They are on a road trip going to see their daughter (his neice) he keeps on talking about.  This is his neice that plays the piano, who always did concerts.  She moved out to Mississippi and her parents are on there way to see her.  Then his blackberry went off and he said  “Infact….”  he read his message and he kind of laughed and said “Oh, she wants me to call her.”  Well, with that I thought of course it was his girlfriend calling him.  I should of said “Who wants you to call you?” but I didn’t think of it at the time of course.  So I said  “OK, don’t work too hard, see you tomorrow and left.”

Of course I was upset about it the whole night and I was bound and determined to find out who called him on his blackberry the next day.  I was hoping he would come on by Friday so I could talk to him and he did!  He said “The Leafs play Vancouver tomorrow night?”  So I said  “Yes, we do.” and we started talking about the game.  He was going to leave so I said “So did you call your neice back after I left last night?”  He said “Actually, it was my sister.”  He said she called him becos he asked her to buy him a T-shirt from there so she wanted to know what size and what colour.  Aren’t I a little sneak?  that might of been a little bold for me to ask but I just had to find know who called him!

Then our receptionist came by and saw us talking together and gave me that look!  She talked to us for a couple of minutes and then she left and so did D.  I went over to our receptionist and said “He is being so friendly lately, I don’t understand it!”  I told her he was talking to me about his sister and BIL and she told me that they are his whole life!  So I am thinking he is starting to finally open up to me!

He is coming over asking me “Are you going to watch the game tonight?”  And the next day he will say “Did you watch the game last night?”  If he hasn’t heard the score he will say  “What was the score?”  The past couple of years he said to me “I don’t start watching hockey until January.”  I took that as slap in the face like “No way am I going to talk to you about hockey.”  Why now is he being so friendly?

It’s either two things.  One… becos he is going away with a co-worker to another country to set up business there for a few weeks maybe 6 weeks or so!  I am going to miss him so much, I don’t know how I am going to get through this.  Or two… he has a girlfriend who is making him feel this way.  He is different.  He is acting different.  He is not shy at all around me.  He acts like he has more confidence.

I heard him on his blackberry tonight.  He stayed late and I heard him say ”I am freed up now.  Is it ok to come over?  OK, I will be there in a bit.”  I am sure he said it loud enough so I could hear.  I sure wish I new where he was going and who he was going to see.  But why would he waste his time talking to me?  He is giving me false hope.  Is he only being friendly becos he is going away and he is safe?  Or has he finally woken up after 4 years?  Did someone say something to him?  This whole thing is driving me crazy!

All my co-workers are wondering wht has gotten into him too.  They are all wondering what is going on!  When they walk by and see us talking I get this big smile on their face!  Of course D has his back turned so he can’t see.  LOL!   I am wondering if he gets teased about me like I get teased about him.

So what do you think?  Do you think D is finally waking up?  Any advice I would greatly appreciate!

Thanksgiving weekend

October 12th, 2009

We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend!  Saturday afternoon we went to the mall.  We had our usual Mr. Sub for lunch.  I looked around for winter pants.  I have gained about 10 lbs and I can’t fit into last years pants.  I am not happy about it at all.  I didn’t even find anything.  I really wasn’t in the mood to look around.   It’s no fun shopping like that.

We went back home and I had a cup of tea.  Later on I drove J to work.  I came home and I ordered pizza and watched the hockey game.  We lost to the Pittsburg Penguins 5 – 2.  I was not happy.

Sunday I went to the mall again looking for pants and still didn’t find any.  But I did find myself a nice black leather purse at the luggage store on sale for $29.99!  It even has a special pocket just for your cell phone!  It is really nice and it’s just what I was looking for.

This afternoon I tidied up the house.  I did two loads of laundry and I cleaned the bathrooms.  J cut the back lawn for the last time this year and we put the chairs and everything away.  I also put up our little pumpkin lights over the door with J’s help.  We just have to get a pumpkin still.

We went to Mom’s tonight for our Thanksgiving dinner.  My SIL (once removed) was there with my nephew David.  We haven’t seen much of them this summer so it was nice to see them.  My aunt was also there and we had a nice visit.  Mom’s turkey dinner was delicious as always!  I didn’t over eat too much.  I even had a little tiny piece of apple pie!  I could of had a whole piece but I was being good!

After dinner J put the game on in the living room.  The Leafs played against New York Rangers and lost 7 – 2!  WTF is the matter with the Leafs?  They haven’t won a game yet!  I am not giving up on my Leafs though, after all I am an optimist remember!  They have to start playing better!

It’s back to work tomorrow.  It was so nice sleeping in for three days!  It’s going to be hard to get up in the morning.  I hope it is a good week!  I hope you have a good week too!

Feeling better

October 4th, 2009

It’s been awhile since I have updated.  Let’s see what has been going on.  I was sick all last weekend.  I was in bed all day Saturday.  I slept the whole day.  I’m not sure what exactly was wrong with me.  It could of been a migraine but I am not sure it was becos I have had alot worse than that.  The pain wasn’t bad but I felt weird.  I felt kind of nautious too.  It could of been a touch of the flue or it could of been pure exhaustion.  All I wanted to do was just sleep all day which is exactly what I did.

I went out to dinner with a friend last Friday night.  We went to our usual restaurant.  We hadn’t seen each other for a couple of month’s and we had a good time cathing up over a glass of wine!  I hope it wasn’t the glass of wine I had that triggered my migraine if that is what I had.

I sitll didn’t feel well on Sunday.  I didn’t even get dressed, it was a PJ day and I just rested as much as possible.  J left in the morning with his friend to go to the Toronto Blue Jay game and about 4:00 pm he called me and the boys were at the ACC buying tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs game that night!  J and his friend had a great day!

I did manage to tidy up the house and I did a load of laundry but that was about all I could do.  If I didn’t feel any better on Monday I would of called in sick but I felt ok so I went to work.  I’m still not feel 100% today.  I have had about 5 people come up to me this morning and say to me “Are you feeling ok?  You don’t look too good.”  I told them I was just feeling still kind of wishy washy from the weekend.  Hopefully I will feel and look better tomorrow.

Work is still very busy.  It’s hard to get caught up when you are so busy all the time.  It’s so frustrating.  Apparently we are getting a new and faster scanner.  It is just for our department so it should help us alot!

This weekend I felt much better.  We went to the mall yesterday and treated ourselves to our usual Mr. Sub for lunch.  I paid some bills.  We are looking for a new fleece jacket for J but didn’t find one he likes.   J has grown alot lately so we have to buy him a larger size shirts.  We came home and J had to get ready to go to work.  After I dropped him off at work I went to Home Depot to look at paint colour for my living room/dining room.  I am looking at just a nice soft beige colour.  I picked up quite q few swatches but now I am confused!  There are too many to chose from and it’s pissing me off!  LOL!

I watched the hockey game the Leafs vs Washington and we got our *ss kicked!  It definately wasn’t a good game.  I was really disappointed in the Leafs.  Today I did two loads of laundry, tidied up the house and wash the front hall floor and the washroom floors.  I know it doesn’t sound like much but I think I over did it as I am in a lot of pain right now.  The muscles in my legs are killing me.  I hope I feel better in the morning.

J went to a movie this afternoon with his father, step brother and sister.  They saw the 3D movie Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs.  J really enjoyed it.  Later on we went to Mom ’s for dinner.  She cooked a delicious roast beef dinner.  My aunt was also there and we had a nice visit.

After dinner I dropped J off at his friends house.  They were watching a wrestling pay per view show and played some video games after.

Tomorrow is another Monday.  I really wish the weekends wouldn’t go by so fast.  Of course the only good thing about going to work is seeing D.  He continues to be friendly.  I love it when he says Goodnight on his way out.  Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn’t.  He has even come in and talk to me a few times!  It really makes my day when he does!  If only he knew!

It’s late and I’m off to bed.  I’m wondering how many people even read me anymore?

Relaxing weekend

September 20th, 2009

It has been a nice relaxing weekend.  I really didn’t do much at all.  Yesterday we went to the mall and I got my eye makeup remover that I needed at the Bay.  I picked up some pictures I ordered of Vegas at Black’s for my aunt and my mother.  We were anxious to go to Mr. Sub for lunch to thank the Mr. Sub guy for the TML tickets and told him what a great time we had!

After the mall we went to Benjamin Moore to look at paint chips.  I am itching to paint my living room and dining room again.  I painted it about 3 years ago and I still don’t like the colour.  It is a peachy colour and I just want a nice warm beige colour, not too dark and not too light.  I have been looking at paint chips all weekend and I still can’t decide.  I need an interior decorator to come in and do it all for me!  I am so lousy at this!  LOL!

J and I ordered pizza and watched the Leafs vs Philadelphia Flyers game.  It was another great game and we won 5 – 4!  We also watched the game on friday night against the Pittsburg Penguins and we won that game too 4 – 3!  The Leafs are on fire!  Hopefully they can keep it up all season!

This afternoon I did the usual laundry and tidied up the house.  I also cleaned the dowstairs bathroom.  We went to Mom’s for dinner.  She cooked spare ribs and they were delicious.  My barbeque died a couple of weeks ago.  We thought we just ran out of gas so we took it to get refilled but it still wouldn’t work.  It is the burners that died.  I really do miss our barbeques, the weather has been so nice too!  Mom and I are looking at new barbeques hoping we will be able to find one on sale soon.  If not we will get a new one next spring.

I drove J to his friends house after dinner.  The boys wanted to watch a pay perview wrestling show.  After the show they were going to play video games.  It is almost 1 a.m. and J still isn’t home yet!  It is a good thing he doesn’t have school tomorrow or I wouldn’t let him be out so late on a school night.  He should be home shortly.

I watched the Emmy’s tonight.  I don’t watch half of the shows that won so I didn’t know the actors or actresses.  Anyway, it’s way late and J just got home.  Such the life of a teenager.  I’m going to bed.  I hope everyone had a good weeked!

Busy week

September 18th, 2009

This has been a busy week.  We are busy learning the new way of entering our invoices.  Today was another frustrating day for me.  There are lots of bugs to figure out.  It is going to be a long time before it is working 100%.

J and I had a great time at the game on Wednesday night!   I took the day off and we took the train into the city.  We went to the Hockey Hall of Fame first.  We got our picture taken with the Stanley Cup and we saw Steve Mason’s Calder Trophy.  We also saw the Columbus Blue Jackets display case and who was representing them was of course Steve Mason!  It was so awesome to see him in the display case.  And to think he is in the Hockey Hall of Fame and he lives just a block away from us!

We looked around the store there and J bought two Columbus Blue Jackets pucks one for himself and one for his friend since his friends favorite team is the CBJ.  J bought me Toronto Maple Leaf earrings and necklace.  It is a belated birthday present since he never got me anything for my birthday.  I love it and I can’t wait to wear them!

We had a nice dinner at the Movenpick which is in the same building as the HHOF.   After dinner we walked to the Air Canada Centre.  We looked in the store and then we found our seats which were great seats!  We had gold seats!  It was so cool to see everyone wearing TML jerseys and blue and white!  I wore my jersey which is J’s old one.  It’s too small for him so I claimed it!  J wore his jersey so we had on matching jerseys!  Some people wore the crazy blue and white wigs.  I have one but I didn’t wear mine, I should of though.   We watched the Leafs practiced.  It was so awesome when they came out!  Everyone was going crazy!  It was so loud in the building!  I think everyone was extra excited becos hockey it was the first game!  It was a great game even though we lost 3 – 2.  We almost tide the game near the end.

The game was so much fun!  I wish I could go to every game!  Ok maybe not every game but at least 2 times a month!  The Leafs really looked good!  I think it’s going to be a great season!

I went out for dinner with a few girls from the office last night.  We met up with one of our ex-co-workers who they recently let go this past summer.  We went to a nice Greek restaurant which isn’t too far from our office.  It was great seeing her again and getting all caught up and we had a good time bitching and complaing about work.   Heh, you have to let it all out every once in awhile, right?

I’m so glad it’s Friday!  I’m looking forward to sleeping in for the next day days.  I’m really tired!  We don’t have much planned.  We are going to the mall tomorrow and I need to do a couple of other errands.

J is happy becos he isn’t working tomorrrow night and can watch the Leafs game against Philadelphia with me.  We already beat them on Thursday night!  Sunday will be the usual cleaning day and we will probably go to my mother’s for dinner.  I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Update

September 14th, 2009

Work has been very busy.  My friend/co-worker has been on holidays the past couple of weeks so we were a girl short and we are learning the new way of doing our job.  She is back now so today has been a little better.

J has had a great first week of College!  I can’t believe my baby is in College now!  J is taking Computer programming.  He likes all of his courses and teachers.  He has a good schedule as well.  He has Mondays off so he has a long weekend every weekend!  He is quite happy about that!  Tuesday he has only one clas so he is out early in the afternoon.  Wednesday he has a class in the morning and Thursday and Friday are his full days.  He gets out at 3:00 pm which isn’t bad at all.

He is taking the bus for the first time.  The bus stop is right across the street so it is very handy for him.  Even in the bad weather it won’t be bad for him at all.  So far he hasn’t had any home work but he knows the work load is coming.

He is out almost every night this week.  Last night he went with his friend to a pay per view wrestling show.  They are out tonight at the Air Canada Centre at a wrestling show.  Tomorrow night the boys are out at another wrestling show!

D has been very friendly lately but I will have to tell you about that another time.

On Saturday we went to the mall and treated ourselves to our usual Mr. Sub for lunch.  We have been doing this almost every Satruday so we know the people at Mr. Sub pretty well.  After getting our usual order I went to get a drink next door and the Mr. Sub guy called us back.  He said  “Are you busy Wednesday night?”  At first I said to J.  “Is he talking to us?”  The Mr. Sub guy said again “Are you busy Wednesday night?”  J and I looked at each other in puzzlement.  I thought to myself  Is he going to ask me out on a date?  LOL!  This guy is not my type at all believe me!  J said “Why?”  He said “I have free Leafs tickets to the pre season opener game.  Would you like them?  I can’t go.”

J and I looked at each other, we couldn’t believe it!  J said  “Sure!!!!”  It was so nice of the Mr. Sub guy to give them to us!  We couldn’t believe it!!!  And they are great seats too – Gold seats!  The Leafs are playing Boston so we will probably loose but it will be fun just to go to a game!  I am so excited hockey season is here!!!

Since we will be downtown Toronto I am thinking of taking the day off work and go to the Hockey Hall of Fame.  J has a morning class so we would go after lunch and take the train in.  We both want to go to it and it is not too far from the ACC.  I am really ecited about going to the game!  I think the last time I went to a Leafs game was 30 years ago!  It is going to be so much fun!

Vegas!

September 12th, 2009

At last I am finally updating about Vegas!  I’m sorry it’s taken me so long.  I just haven’t been in the mood to update at all and usually too tired to.   So let’s see where do I start!

We had a great flight.  We landed at Vegas airport and got our luggage and we looked around for my brother and his finance but he wasn’t there.  We didn’t know where to meet them so we were just kind of walked around.  They arrived a few minutes late.  It was so great seeing him again after 10 years!

They took us right to our hotel and we checked in and rested for a bit.  Our first hotel was the MGM Grand!  My brother and his wife have a thing for Lions so we went right over to see the Lions.  They had a couple of baby cubs there that were so adorable!  You could pay to feed them but we didn’t.  We walked around the hotel for quite awhile and then went back to our hotel to rest for a couple of hours before the wedding.

I tried to nap but I couldn’t.  I had been up since 5:30 am and I was already tired.  I guess I was too excited to sleep.  I went in the shower and got ready for the wedding.  I met my future SIL at the salon in our hotel.  She was getting her hair done.  After that we had a nice dinner at the hotel.  My brother took off as my future SIL didn’t want to see him at all before the wedding.

After dinner we got dressed and I helped her get dressed and soon it was time for the wedding to start.  It was a very nice wedding!  My mother, my aunt and I were the only ones there.  Her family didn’t come.  Her parents were too sick to travel but they are doing much better now.  They invited a few friends but they didn’t make it becos unfortunately they couldn’t afford too.

It was a very pretty setting.  The wedding was at 9:00 pm so the gazebo was all light up.  The ceremony itself took about 20 minutes and after were pictures which took quite awhile.  After the pictures we went back to the MGM Grand.  My brother and his new wife wanted to have their picture taken infront of the MGM Lion all dressed up.  So we got in the car and drove to the MGM.  My mother stayed in the car while the rest of us went in to get our picture taken.

My brother and his wife got their picture taken and I got my picture taken with them.  I wanted my picture taken by myself so I was standing there waiting for my aunt to take my picture when all of a sudden…  These two guys came from no where and said “We want our picture taken too!  I said  “Oh OK come here!”  They were already beside me and they both put there arms around me and my aunt took there picture!

While this was happening my brother and my SIL went back to the car and my mother saaid “Where’s Pam?”  My brother said “Oh, two guys just picked her up!”  My mother said in a very surprising voice!  “W H A T?”

After my aunt took the picture the guy to the righ tof me shook my hand, we had a good laugh and then they left!  I am kicking myself now that I didn’t even ask for their names or where they were from or anything!  It was hilarious though!  So all weekend of course everyone was teasing me about being picked up by two guys!  And were they ever cute too!  I wish I could of taken both of them home with me!  LOL!

We went back to our hotel and we had a glass of champange and we said a nice toast to the bride and groom.  We talked for awhile and went back to our rooms which were right down the hall and went to bed.  It was 4:00 am the when we turned the lights on!  I had gotten at 5:30 am so I was up for 24 hours!  The 3 hour time difference didn’t help.  I was exhausted!

We slept in a bit Saturday morning becos we were so exhausted.  When we got up we planned where we were going to go for the day.  My brother and SIL drove to Vegas from Pheonix so we had a car.  The first hotel we went to was the Mandalay.  We had lunch at the Mandalay.  Next we went to the Mirage.  We went to the Siegfried and Roy Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat and saw the Lions, tigers and other animals.  We saw the Dolphins and waterfalls.  We were tired from all that walking around so we played some slot machines for awhile.  We really enjoyed the Mirage!

Next we went to Caeser Palace Forum shops.  We loved this hotel!  The architecture is beautiful!  There are so many shops here.  I went into the music collectable shop and there was an Elvis impersonator in there.  I asked him if I can have my picture taken with him.  My aunt who was taking our picture said “It’s her birthday!”  So Elvis sang Happy Birthday to me!  I thought that was so awesome!  My aunt was having a bit of trouble with my camera and Elvis said “If it takes more than 2 minutes, she’s mine!”  LOL!  Of course I laughed and I felt like saying, “OK get rid of the camera, throw it out!”  LOL!   It was so awesome!  How often do you get to have Elvis sing Happy birthday too!

After walking around some more we went back to our Hotel to get ready for dinner.  We decided to go to the Red Lobster for my birthday dinner.  Actually, the Red Lobster wasn’t my choice at all but my brother and SIL wanted to go there so that is where we went.  I had a delicious seafood meal with lobster and shrimp served over linguini.  It was very good and I really enjoyed it.  I also had icecream on a big chocolate cookie for desert and they brought it to me with a candle on it.  We had a great waiter too.  He was very friendly and it was fun talking to him.

After dinner we went parked the car at Ballys.  Valet parking of course and we walked across the street to the Belagio.  There is a beautiful fountain show with music infront of the hotel that we wanted to see.  There was a railing/fence all along the side of the road.  We kept walking hoping for a break to get closer so we could get a better view of the fountain show but there wasn’t a break for a long time.  So we climbed over the railing which was about up to my thighs.  I didn’t think I would make it over but I did.  Everybody else did but my aunt had quite a bit of difficulty climbing over.  She needed help from my mother and my brother.  She started laughing, and all of us were killing ourselves laughing!  There was a couple of guys near by who were watching the whole thing and they were laughing too!  I went up to them and said “Are you laughing at us?”  One of them said “Ya, how about an enchore!”  LOL!  It was too funny!  It’s a good thing my aunt has a good sense of humor!  LOL!  The fountain show is beautiful to see!  We loved it!

After the Belagio we walked back to Bally’s and played the slot machines.  I didn’t win anything really.  I guess you could say I broke even.  My brother won almost $300.00!  It was almost enough to pay for their honeymoon suite so they were very happy!  We played the slots for awhile and then went back to our hotel and went to bed.

We didn’t get up too early Sunday morning.  We went out for a nice brunch at Eggs Works!  I had a delicious omelette!  Then my brother and SIL drove us to the Venetians Hotel and we said our Goodbye’s.  They had a 5 hour drive back to Phoenix and my brother had to work on Monday so they had to leave.  It was hard to say Goodbye.  I sure hope it isn’t another 10 years before I see him again.

We walked around the Venetian for awhile.  I loved the Venetian hotel, they had pretty umbrella all over the ceiling!  We got tired so we played some some machines for awhile.  We also saw a short musical opera show there which was pretty fun.  Then we went to the Wynn via the overpass.  Wynn is another very pretty hotel!  They had such pretty white lights all over the trees in the gardens.  We sat down in a nice little cafe and had tea and had a nice rest.

From there we took a taxi to the Paris hotel.  I really liked the Paris hotel!  We enjoyed looking at all the shops and the halls were actually like the streets in Paris – you can see them if you are a friend on Facebook.  It looks like you really are in Paris!  We had dinner at one of the restraunts.  I had a nice steak dinner, it was very good!

After Paris we went back to the Belagio hotel and we saw the fountain show again.  Then we walked through the hotel.  The Belagio has beautiful gardens!  It was packed!  Apparently, there was a convention going on.

I wanted to go to the Monte Carlo hotel since I used to live in Monte Carlo, I thought it would be neat to go to the hotel.  If you look at the map, it looks like the Montel Carlo is very close to the Belagio.  We started walking and we walked and we walked and we walked!  It seemed like it took us forever to get there.  We were exhausted!  I swear it was at least 1/2 a mile!  We were so tired so we sat down and played the slot machines for awhile and had a drink.  I bought a Monte Carlo T-shirt and that was the only souvineer I bought for myself.

Then we took a taxi to the Hard Rock Hotel.  The Hard Rock Hotel was very close to our hotel so it was the last stop.  I wanted to get J a T-shirt from there.  We walked in and it was a rocken!  The place was SO loud!  I was really surprised to see they had pole dancers!  LOL!  Of course I had to take a picture of them!  LOL!  We made it just in time to buy J a T-shirt as the store was closing so I was happy and relieved to get J his T-shirt!

We didn’t stay at the Hard Rock Hotel very long as we were very tired.  From there we walked to our hotel.  It is actually across the street.  When we got in we had to pack up as we were leaving in the morning.

We had to get up early.  We got everything packed up and ready to go.  We got to the airport and had breakfast and played the slot machines one last time.  It was fun!  The flight home was great!  It was so wonderful seeing my brother after 10 years!  It is great to see him so happy with his new wife.  It was so much and I had such a great time!  It was an absolute awesome weekend!  I only wish we could of stayed there longer.  I would of liked to seen a show but we didn’t really have time.  We wanted to see as many of the hotels as we could.  We just took it all in and I really hope I get a chance to go back there one day!
